Getting Your Tech Ready
Our learning platform works best when your devices meet a few basic requirements. Nothing fancy—just want to make sure you can access everything smoothly.
Most computers and tablets from the past few years will handle our courses without any issues. Here's what we recommend.
Computer Specifications
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or newer, or any recent Linux distribution
- Processor: Intel i3 or AMD equivalent (basically anything from 2017 onwards)
- Memory: 4GB RAM minimum, though 8GB makes multitasking easier
- Storage: Around 10GB free space for course materials and spreadsheet files
- Display: 1280×720 resolution or higher—helps when viewing financial charts
Quick tip: If you're using a laptop from 2018 or later, you're probably all set. Older machines might run a bit slower with multiple spreadsheets open.
Internet Connection
- Speed: At least 5 Mbps for video lessons—10 Mbps is better for HD quality
- Stability: Wired connections work best, but modern WiFi is fine too
- Data usage: Each video lesson uses roughly 200-400MB depending on quality settings
We've designed our platform to adapt to your connection speed. Videos will adjust quality automatically if your bandwidth drops.
Software Requirements
- Web Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge—keep it updated to the current version
- Spreadsheet Software: Microsoft Excel 2016+, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc
- PDF Reader: Any modern PDF viewer for course materials and reference guides
- JavaScript: Must be enabled in your browser (it usually is by default)
Most of our students use Google Sheets since it's free and works across devices. Excel users appreciate the advanced features for complex financial modeling.
Mobile and Tablet Access
- iOS: iPhone 8 or newer running iOS 14+
- Android: Android 8.0 or later with at least 3GB RAM
- Tablets: iPad (5th generation or later) or Android tablets with 9-inch screens minimum
- Screen size: Phones work for watching lessons, but tablets or computers are better for working with spreadsheets
You can watch video content on your phone during commutes, then switch to your computer for the practical exercises. Your progress syncs automatically.
